Hey guys and gals,
I've talked with most you you lately, thought I'd check in here. Bob I don't think I've talked with you about this but Ernie called the other day and told me Twiggs has been purchased by a couple of guys in Atlanta and renovated, including paved the entire racing surface with concrete. So I got to thinking that we should plan an annual event
there. Red is going to check the place out soon.

This time I think it should be an open show. Invite teams we want, even maybe FEDS and altereds. As long as they have a blown inj. alky car, simple. Call it Nostalgia Outlaw, maybe like Bradenton does. Only try to invite some cars we would like to have there, maybe some Southern Slingshot guys. The reason is that I think when one of the members handles getting paid it can just lead to problems like we had last year. Make it elimination style with a ladder, post the guaranteed payout that is given by the track this way everyone knows what they're getting rather than wondering. If we have to pay an entry fee, so be it. I think the track should combine it as a bonus raace within a race, like my local track is doing with open Outlaw. Have the 10.5 cars, Pro Mod, etc, or with their bracket event. This way they can promote a big action - packed day of racing - something for everyone. Not just making up flyers for a single category event.

One thing, I will only participate provided that Don Burge is not invited because he is still affilliated with Brian and Dustin. I really don't want that gang to know about this event. Also I want Bee Gator nothing to do with this event or her back motor buddy. I have not been affilliated with the SCFC for months now and it's dead anyway. I just run as an independent now.

Other than that, what do you all think? My motor is finished and ready to put in my car. It has been professionally built, so I'm expecting to run real strong, hopefully will test in a month but the new baby is due then, so we'll see. I'm thinking having the event sometime in November, as I think Bill wore out the welcome of the funny cars in Bradenton last year so I say forget about that event as far as booked in goes.

Let me know, hope everyone is well. - Eric

Same here Bob. I've been wanting to get an up date on your plans, just forgot to write your new # down. Maybe you can call me. I have a bad feeling Open Outlaw is gone from Sunshines schedule. Charlie got in two Q - runs Saturday, ( I've been crewing for him for a couple of events along with Rick )the tracks computers went down. Anyway just not enough participation I guess (only 5 cars showing up every time). I hope it's not true but it doesn't look good from where I sit. Not that my car could run with his. But at least a category to fit a blown car. Anyway see y'all. Shottz, speak up will ya? - Eric

hi bill i dont think it was meant the way it sounds. i was talking to eric yesterday and he said nothing but good things about you and your car.he said to me that you are prity flexable and easy going on trying diffrent things to make a race word and you have a lot of good stuf in your car. and braenton was to hard on you at the last race.

Yeah Bill didn't mean that in a bad way, but you gotta admit things kinda fell apart there. Not blaming you heck we've all had our problems running that event in one way or another. I'm just saying I think we ought to go some place where we can all have a good time. I know we're not running the times Scott Kalitta was but we still need to make sure our cars are safe and the track has proper safety equiptment and personnel before we agree to race there. And we need to remind each other if need be of any safety issues that might need attention. Motors in the car, putting the top end together. - Eric
